Black annealed wire is a low-carbon steel wire that has been softened by annealing and carries a dark, oxidised surface finish. It is used for baling, rebar tying and general binding, and is one of the most exported steel wire types worldwide. It is available oiled or unoiled.

Oiled vs unoiled
